Up and running by May next year. A good boost for the Rakaia and Invercargill radars. :smile:

Hindon is on the Taieri Gorge Railway line so the radar site must be in the hills immediately above it.

I think I read somewhere it was going to be on top of a hill where the railway goes through a tunnel underneath.

I wonder how this will affect the plans of WeatherWatch to build a 'private' radar in Otago - which were announced, I believe, a couple of months ago.
Locked
