The Meteologix site had a strike on Favona Road in Mangere Bridge around 5am. I think that will be reasonably accurate. These lightning detection systems do not catch all the lightning, particularly IC.

Had some small hail here in the last hour, almost looked like snow pellets.

Brief pea hail during the night and this morning but did not hear any of the thunder locally as the strikes were too far south. 22mm so far for the thread.

This was useful last night for picking up a thunderstorm about 100km SE of Wellington. Where Blitzortung was picking up nothing, GOES-17 was picking up about 1 strike per minute, which was about what I observed. A+ will use again

Dusting of snow on some higher hills on Banks Peninsula this morning, but only above about 600-700m. Plus some hail on ground at Hilltop.

I woke to an almighty crack and then heard a long rumble. Then a flash and rumble. Gave me a helluva fright. I’m in South Auckland.

There was quite an active storm over north Waikato 1.30am.

I heard like 2 rumbles and saw 1 flash . its odd cause metservice only had low risk and usually theres no thunder during low risk. anyway. didnt get good sleep woke up 1:30 am due to high winds and then at 5am due to thunder and lightning
