Otago Uni weather station/cam hope I'm not doubling up here

Unread post by Compie »

Hey all.

the university web office and the physics dept got together do a redesign of the web weather station. I Think the result isn't too bad.

Hope this hasn't been posted before, I've tried looking for it.

Hey... update please ;)

Your site says their are only two online weather stations in Dunedin? :? I may not have the prettiest site or have the money of commercial funding but I've been online for over a year and my data should be accurate enough.

BTW... Welcome to this forum. It's will be good to have another "local" here.

hey cheers guys.

As for the site, I had nothing to do with it, although I did work in the web office of the Uni for a while, so sorry not responsible for the content.

It's just kinda nice to be at varsity and get all the latest. Why stick my head out the window and risk getting sun burnt.

Interestingly I live out on the Otago peninsula and as the weather out there can be quite different to say the least. The wind out there can be howling while in the relatively protected area the varsity is in, it's almost calm. Long story short, it's only useful to see whats it like in town, not the different micro climates of dunners.

cheers

actually, as the wind is always 'fun' at out place, it's either bowing a gale, a cold nor-easter or nothing at all, I use this site (guessing most of you know about it) to get my wind readings.
