Whys this Anticyclones moving so quickly?

Unread post by Michael »

Can anyone explain why this high pressure is moving so quickly-even the SW on the eastern side of it only lasted a day(Usually they persist) now its moving on after 1 day-is it due to the deepening low in the coral sea?

Because I told it to do so.
I hate slow moving anticyclones and with the developing low off the Queensland Coast, I wanted it to move away so that the low can develop and give us a blast of cold weather or something decent rather than the pathetic weather we are getting at the moment!!!! :( :(

Yes, get this High out of here. Your are out numbered Michael.
You should move to Siberia if you like cold nights and clear days.

you could think of the high filling a vacuum left over from the quickly departing series of lows and fronts and SWer that we had...and that it squeezed under the jetstream in the north tasman and then popped onto NZ (one of the highest barometers i have recorded here at 1034)....
but you can blame it on the jet stream and more particulary the wave in the jet stream moving aorund the globe quickly at the moment,.....
just my thoughts
2oC here this morning, but only a light frost as the air was moving a bit all night long
had my main weather pc die this morning after 12 years of faithfull service :(
