Has just started snowing in Gore, heavy too. Won't take much to settle ground is dry with a light frost early on.

11am news said snowing heavily on Banks Peninsula currently and is helping put out the bush fires there. Its nice here in Christchurch, plenty of sun and 5 degrees.

There was a brief flurry of flakes here about 10 minutes ago despite it being 6C.
