Re: General February Weather
Can see the cloud towers south of the Bombay Hills from here, isolated weak afternoon showers for Auckland, dewpoint around 18C, cloudy, max 25C, typical February weather for Auckland.

And the downpour has hit here, rain rate breaching 68mm/hr (instantaneous rate)
Update: 4.8mm in a 12 min period, not bad

Would be nice if it 'teemed' here Just had an 'overthrow' spell of rain this afternoon, which is good.

Re: North Island Convergence Line & Storms, 21st February
got to 70mm/h here but thats nothing compared to the 228mm/h we got back in January. We got 4.2mm here as well Tim. So very similar readings
Looks like there is more to come in too.
