Awesome photo's Steve! Great looking ragged base there.

lol, thanks Jase and others. I like Rob's photo though quite a bit, nothing beats a good Cg! Unfortunately I only managed a few distant ones.

When you blow mine up though and look at it like a panorama there is alot of detail in the lightning and it's quite cool.

Photographed a "maybe" funnel. Not sure really, me and Steve both saw it and were talking via cell at the same time wondering if it was anything. I don't think the upper level winds were supportive of much happening so if it was anything then just a funnel associated with a thundery sky.

Cheers
Aaron

Its a big 'maybe' but it stuck round for quite a while. What it needed was for us to film it then play it back but sped up to see if there was any rotation. I earlier saw another lower and possible funnel cloud. The base and possible funnel was from the same cell but about a half our before this one formed. Might try grab a video still of that, although it was distant.

If that lowering didnt rotate then it's not a funnel (simple as that).
Its looks more like a scuddy lowering from the base which is very common in thunderstorms.

To my eye no funnel there but scuddy lowering.

Totally agree, only thing that seemed strager than normal was the lowering stayed around alot longer than I have witnessed before. Il have to ahve alook at the 10sec of video i took of it earlier
