Unread post by C-Nimbus »

Well it was nice to see some cauliflower in the sky today, and even heard rumours of th th th thunder and lightning (hence the zzzzziggg!).

I think things are slowing down now, bit if it doesn't, this can be a new thread for northern nz t/s's that may occur today.

Looks like western northland got a good 'un arounbf midnight last nite

finga's crossed

There looked to be a big line of storms off the NE coast (off Auckland NE'wards) of the NI last night. Very big! Bugger it didn't make it onshore otherwise that would've been something to wake you guy's up.

But yeah, perhaps a bit of heating will entice some clouds up from sometime now into early afternoon? I'm not sure after that as the cold pool would've passed.

No unfortunatley. 03storm and Jastream (sp?) got some rain when I didn't last night. This morning it's been raining quite well though and it's coldish only being 11C. Hopefully it'll clear this afternoon/evening as it's meant to so we have a sunny morning tomorrow with a good setup for thunderstorms.

Yeah the rain went dead here last night only lasted about half an hour but todays rain has left me with 11.4mm which is't bad. 8)
Clearing now :D with the sun trying to break through here rain stopped as well so be good to get rif of this SW wind finally well for a while anyway :) .
I see Met Service has it with our forecast thunderstorms tomora hail 10-20mm in diamter wether that will happen who knows :? but it has happend here quite a few times over the last few years so its a possable chance. 8)
Cheers
JASON TIPPET. :D
