woke to 15cm of snow in Reefton.
it has stopped snowing now. temp currently 2.1°C.
at work (~550m asl) had 28cm by 11.30am by which time the power had been out for an hour and lots of trees falling over the access road.
bigger than the August dump last year.

snowed as far down Grey Valley as Ikamatua.

Thought I was hearing things! Nice peels of thunder over South Auckland at present, no precipitation - yet. Wind strength increasing.
