While this is still 12 days away, an incoming high pressure zone is likely.
Hopefully this sticks!!
Boxing day looks heaps better.

Best wishes to all. My Christmas moment would have to be 2002 up the top of a step ladder Christmas Afternoon (full of turkey and wine) in a NW gale trying in vain to tie shade cloth onto wires in our shade house while the gales were ripping it away from my hands, away from the wires, and blowing it towards the coast.

Merry xmas everyone!
Off to bed!
I do remember one year when I was a kid, I used to live up Kennedies Bush Rd. We had an open fire place and I got up early one Christmas morning, and I heard a hohoho come down the chimney. Some years later I was to relise the wind was blowing across the chimney top like if you blow across the opening of a bottel so no it wasn't santa but at the time I actually thought it was! Now I know better!
Have a good one.

I hope everyone has a very happy and safe Christmas where ever you are, take it easy especially if you are driving anywhere. I lost a good friend 2 years ago on boxing day due to driver fatigue.
Edit - hmmm look what santa left me :

Not bad day here today I got 15.3dg here with cloudy areas and some fine intervals and get this NO RAIN!!!! WOW .
Bloody full from xmas lunch and had some more food at tea heading away tomora up to Huranui with brother until Tuesday here for new years and until 10th then off down south to Wanaka until 19th Janurary.
Then don't start course till 7th Febuary.
Where is everyone else off to if going camping?.
Forecasts don't look too bad for start of week with few spots of rain and high cloud with 18dg expected and a NE tending NW.
Monday is fine here tuesday is cloudy but warm with 23dg amazingly 23? yeah havn't had a warm temp like that since 2nd December.
Rain returning next Wednesday to much of the country probly heavy in most places.
Have a good few days in front of the BBQ and T.V or even Swimming if your mad enough I will be back 28th cheers.

There is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.
