North Island Flooding Possible - 29th-31th

Unread post by Willoughby »

I don't wish to break the christmas cheer going around, but very heavy rain has been forecasted by GFS, flooding amounts....

For Auckland, by the reputable snow-forecast.com,

0-3 Days Weather Summary
Mostly dry
Very mild (max 19°C on Mon morning, min 13°C on Sat night)
Wind will be generally light

4-6 Days Weather Summary
Heavy rain (total 88mm), heaviest during Wed night
Warm (max 22°C on Tue afternoon, min 14°C on Mon night)
Winds increasing (calm on Mon afternoon, strong winds from the NNE by Wed afternoon)

Hamilton is likewise, but a total of 116mm from Wed morning to Thurs morning

The front will strengthen around Eastern Bay of Plenty to Gisborne

:!: :!: :!:

Or am I just paranoid?
