seems most of the west coast got little out of this event.
I've recorded a total of 13.4mm.
was expecting quite a bit more.

yeah, was strange how the west coast did not get much
the southern alps were a trigger though for elevated convection, that gave lots of rain to inland otago

Missed that but heard a rumble around 5am, but that was an earthquake centred near the eastern end of the Greendale Fault near Hoskyns road. #-o

I didnt hear the thunder but i woke up around 1am to what sounded like very large drops of rain on the roof, almost that real fat drop sound you get when its sleeting before a big snow dump quite loud and unexpected.
Just thick drizzle light rain through out the day, it wasnt too bad this morning quite mild then the SE kicked in around lunch time and has since cooled things off.
Interesting to see on the radar a consistent patch of drizzle about the Pegasus Bay coastline but isolated moderate/light showers further inland and to the south, i dont know whether thats because of the peninnsula or the pool of rain to the north shifting down slightly as it is surposed to do so.
