A little experiment

Unread post by Gary Roberts »

The verified high today in Omarama was 32.6° at 15:04, at 18% humidity. I wonder what figures TVNZ weather will pluck out of thin air today. Should be interesting to see.

I watched TV One's weather tonight and that horrible woman weather presenter said that Alex got to 34C.
Horrible day here in ChCh with gale force ENE ruining what could of been a lovely summery 'blue-dome' day.
Very bright

We get "bluedome" often in a SSW when the gales ruin it to a bee bop day but not today

Sounds as though you are having some nice weather up there in Auckland, well wherever you are Michael
Would it be that easterly flow be sheltering you ???

25.7° and 35% humidity now (22:10)...isn't it amazing the difference a Stevenson screen makes? Many around here with glass thermometers hanging off the concrete wall above the concrete patio were telling me the high was in the (very) upper 30's, and one guy swears it got to 45° up the back of Lake Tekapo because that's what the digital thermometer in his 4x4 displayed...!

35° in Alex? Man! No thanks. 32.6° was more than enough! I'm actually kind of glad we got all that crap weather this summer and missed the hottest part of the year! :-)

OOOO GAA

Arr, she was misty doon here today. But always time for a Speights and you're right Jas, it's hard find a CD down here and that's just the way we like it ;)

A heavy fog rolled in about 2pm off the sea (it reminded me of Oamaru when I was a kid, the fog could roll in and smother the town for hours), dropped the temp and stayed until after dark with heavy moisture in the later hours.

At a wedding in Alex on Saturday Andy, change of an afternoon buildup? Or will it slip around the edges?
There is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.
