That's serious snow in the photo - thankyou!
Getting off topic here :-) the Crown Range road in Central Otago is NZ highest main road but is only 2m higher than the Desert Road.

Yes, the Desert Road is very high but it is SH1, which can be a nuisance in winter. Seems to close a lot due to ice or snow.

Well considering i mentioned both dates and then i changed to just the 14th before any other thread was put up i think it was a joke. His one should have been deleted by the administrators by now.

Dude chill out. This one has talk about snow up to now. We are moving into a separate event. It makes sense to have two different threads. Don't take it as a personal attack against your thread.

Come on guys, down with the constant redirecting of threads and petty one-ups-man-ship, its bloody annoying to follow, just leave things as they used to be- this parallel thread rubbish for predicted vs actual belongs in a scientific journal, not an internet chat room

Snow flurries, v. fine, in Waddington (4.40am). Started about 30 mins ago, initially intermittent, now constant. Not settling.

5.45am - showers, some sleet, gusty wind.

7.21am - Snowing again, big flakes :D Settling.
