Some good lightning flashes around 7.00pm ,could even hear the odd rumble also.

Is there any push over from the coast? It seemed very close to ChCh.
Perhaps I was dreamin' though.. may have been one of those wankers with bright headlights or a Blue LED spotlight but I doubt it.
I'm no expert but I love severe weather!
