There were reports of rime this morning here in Canterbury with the cold conditions this morning.
This was around the Woodend/Rangiora area about 8am
It was foggy here overnight and this morning with a minimum of minus 2 degrees. Even tho' very moist, no signs of freezing on our trees.
I see the NOAA report for ChCh at noon was for weather conditions to be "ice pellets with a temp pf 6C with a dew point of 5c, Ene of 12 mph"
By then it has cleared and it was a fine sunny day except thr ENE was a bit cool, well bloody cold actually hense only 9C being recorded today for the Max.

The fog cleared up by about 10.30AM in the Ferrymead/Heathcoate area, but I believe it lingered until around midday in the central city, and probably longer around New Brighton and the northeast of the city. From Ferrymead, I could see it streaming across that area in the fresh northeasterly.
