ANZAC weekend weather
This year sees ANZAC Day "mondayised" for most of us for the first time
We are thinking of going camping, at the moment its a toss up between Punakaiki, Reefton or St Arnaud. Early days yet, but St Arnaud looking the better bet on current modelling.

Re: ANZAC weekend weather
Well clearly no one gave a toss about this weekends weather!
Forecast has deteriorated to the point where camping is off and a mates holiday house at Castle Hill is now the go

I do - taking today off as well as Monday. Glorious day in W'gton, lots of people watched the parade with some fascinating old vehicles on show.

Sounds like a good parade in Wellington, Sydney always did a great ANZAC parade when I was living there.

Back home by then - only noticed the last 15 secs or so - apparently lots of nervous people in some of the higher buildings prone to swaying though ...Razor wrote:Earthshakingly good?RWood wrote:I do - taking today off as well as Monday. Cool at 6deg for the dawn service here, clear skies and very dewy grass. Day became quite mild by mid-morning, sunny, blue skies, a few high clouds. And huge crowds at the services I attended.

Another mild day but wet looking along the Alps.
Thunderstorm looking but I don't think so, sadly.
NW Arch moving away but remaining rather cloudy. North to NE winds here.

At Castle Hill. Sunny and breezy all day, some late afternoon passing showers but nothing too dramatic
