That would be awesome but is the potential run of extreme min temps next weeks rival that of 2001 do you think?

This event was a very similar meteorological set up to the 2006 event.

The photos are all great.

2cm here in Ashburton this morning,more on the higher side of town.2006 around 35cm fell.
Do not have to go far west though for deep snow.
Will take a trip to Mt Somers etc tomorrow

Fantastic photos everyone and Richard pleased you have received some much needed moisture on the ground and the power is back on! What a great winter its shaping up to be for all us weather enthusiasts bring on the next round :D

yes its so nice to have had so much needed moisture alright,this evening its very mild so there's heaps melting happening,when you hear the amount of water coming down the down pipes its amazing just how much water can to sitting on top of a roof.
