My old man said he got 8 inches of snow in Mossburn, about 40min east of Te Anau.

Definite timing issue! I haven't been convinced at all with these winter snaps. I noticed the top of port hills got a dusting overnight. And earlier in the evening a report of a grapual/ice shower in some parts of chch. But nothing more. Hopefully august is more fruitful for a snow dump or roll on spring and summer with thunderstorms and doing what we do best with chasing on the plains!!

Nothing much here in West Melton, despite it being bitterly cold and noticing the cloud in it's movements did have that snowy look to them. =D>
