Seems like there could be some 'interesting' weather in the top of the North Island as a low positions itself to the northeast. But predictions earlier in the week for a cold southerly sweeping up the South Island on Friday have evaporated. It looks like the flow could tend more easterly from the current northeasterly, but this shouldn't bring more than some patches of drizzle or light showers.

Yes it's shame this low didn't do as what earlier models predicted and move over the country and give us a bit of a cold snap, whatever.
It's been boring here in Ch c and now the boring weather looks set to continue.
Like Aaron, a few people a getting pist off with the mist, fog, cold etc.

Plenty of rain over Northland this evening.
Ski fields have lucked out yet again, with a situation that looked promising for snow but ended up as a fizzer. The people who run the Ruapehu fields must be feeling a bit desperate now. SI ski fields would'nt be much better
off.
Does an uneventful winter lead to an eventful spring? We weather watchers can only live in hope.
