historic weather maps

Unread post by midgrove »

Does anyone know here to get hold of old analysed weather maps.
I see the occasional one referring to specific well known events but that is all
I can try and analyse my own from digital atmosphere database
but South Pacific weather obs are virtually non existent on this database prior to 1973.

I did try met-service, they only have maps available for 2000 onward and they referred me to Niwa
but I haven't heard back from them yet.

You could try newspaper archives at a library?
