the Ak temps above are average daily minimum/average daily maximum.

Its interesting that despite an average max of 27C at the airport the extreme max for the month was only 29C. The effect of being by the sea.

I notice a location in the southern United kingdon reached 38.1C. I find this an extraordinary temperature given the lattitude, about 51deg.

I didn't see it Steven.
I assumed that 38.1 for a maximum which according to the television reports was the new max for England.
I have registered as it being so.
Where it was recorded, I don't know

Does anyone OUT there know ???
