General April Weather
Looks like remnants of Debbie may cross NZ in the first week of April, depending on anticyclone movements

Upper level support for heavy rain next week is looking like lower North Island/Upper South island.

Re: General April Weather
people in Brisbane asked the Q as TC Debbie came ashore..will it get to Brisbane?
and people said no...but never say never..the remaining tropical low eye passed right over the city center!
and the cold front that came up from NSW has caused alot of flash flooding to occur in both states

Re: General April Weather
I see the models are still working out what's going to happen to the ex TC Debbie in the tasman and how that will affect NZ
and yet weather agencies think each model run is set in concrete and make forecasts or warnings based on that

Re: General April Weather
Models still being consistent for between 40-70mm for large areas of Canterbury next Wednesday, hard to believe places like Culverden could end up receiving 120mm+ over a 3 week period if this event comes off, hopefully this will relieve some pressure on the farmers in the Hurunui

13mm here in the last hour or so. Kinda misty too. Noticed some patchy fog earlier this arvo as well. Also a bit of brief trace mizzle early this morn. Not a bad day otherwise though...

Re: General April Weather
Some early fog, sun is out now so it will feel very warm today especially over Northland which will have more of the sunshine in the humid conditions.

A sultry day in the north, temperatures up to around 26C for parts of Northland/Auckland, dewpoint 21C, certainly warm for April.

Re: General April Weather
I tend to ignore the isolated high dp readings.
A dry day here so far, the Metservice scattered showers are yet to show up.

Re: General April Weather
Boring day here with 'anticyclonic gloom'
Only about 12C maximum.
got the fire going tonight.
Is there any interesting weather coming a foot?
