We all are back home ok post chasing now. First US chase trip without seeing a tornado for me. Been a very quiet year. We did however get something chasable every day, with no down days which is also unusual.

Was a bloody good trip despite no tornadoes, we had some great structure on days where we expected nothing, looking forward to editing and sharing some of the photos and timelapse. Was great to meet up with a lot of friends and make some new ones

Supercells are not always very efficient rain makers. More likely to get large hail from them.

It looks like that the states of Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, and Missouri will be in for some severe weather.

Totally gutted we missed some great days in the past few days. I suppose that’s the gamble we pay though. Could have easily gone the other way. We did get there at the right time though to get storms every day we were there.

Hoping to get some my photos done this weekend and then load a few here and on Facebook.

Whats worse is when youi miss a long track EF4 tornado and you are only 10miles away. That happened to spwill and me in 2016. We mucked up with road options.

Incredible thunderstorms moving across northern Oklahoma currently. I have never seen 90mph on a severe ts warning before.

HAZARD...90 MPH WIND GUSTS AND TENNIS BALL SIZE HAIL.

The interstate 80 Nebraska looking good for a chase today with SPC cat4 severe thunderstorm set up. Outflow structure/big hail on the cards. Tornadoes are predicted by SPC but looks messy to me.

And we were looking after the car, in our own car we would have gone through the hail.

Yes, a nice and smooth 'organic' looking funnel. Liked the Yankee flag to the right of the video, making out that the funnel was from a " Proud to be American " tornado

Willo, Greg & Brayden scored big today. Start to finish that magnificent twister was down for over an hour with a rain free base. Jealous as!

I have just come across this clip from Tempest Tours of their chase day on June 28th 2018. Some incredible tornadoes captured over eastern Montana. Its footage like this that spurs stormchasers to keep chasing.

Was it Grant, the car shark from Auckland? He does commercial tours, quite a weather nerd, have crossed paths with him a coupla times. Never encountered him in forums etc online but.

Last night's Seven Sharp storm-chaser story was about Auckland car-dealer Graeme Macdonald. See previous posts about him a few years ago here.

I’ve chased with Graeme before. He’s a good bloke. I’ve chased a couple times with him on silver lining tours (Roger Hill). I believe he was actually on the first year of tours Roger ever ran. From memory he also had a terrible run of going on so many tours and never seeing a tor hahaha.
