The precipitation I observed here was soft pellets rather than flakes but I did see snow flurries near Pukekohe that day.

i so remember this. 2011 sure was a year for weather events. some being in auckland

Yeah, had snow , proper snow, falling at the top of the Bombay hills that day, when I was there , show chasing :)
