Just came back in from Timaru.
Southerly not far away judging by the line of scud and black skies in behind it.
Warm here with NW breezes and 25C.

I see the Timaru airport temperature dropped from 23C to 12C in their half hourly obs!

Yes. correct on that. Here in Geraldine it did drom 25C it dropped to 12.7C just after 5pm, when the SW went through.
No low stratus moving through with this southerly change.
Seems like the rain is heading out to sea.

Judging from the photographs from today, the front looked more photogenically spectacular than from the weather events that should of followed it.
Thanks to global warming or climate change, the next few days should be nice and warm and settled following it. :smile:

Photos all taken just outside Lincoln. Witnessed only one inter-cloud flash, very strong gust estimating around 80km.
