my great great auntie kept a diary where she recorded the weather every day for her life, 100 years ago, locally
and its been typed up into a book
100 years ago we used to get a lot more frosts...7 in a row were common
we hardly get 2 in a row now
were high's back then wider/fatter/broader...i.e less wind in them..and slower moving?
we seem to have more compact/intense high's that have more isobars and so wind around and in them them now..? (ie so less frosts in coastal locations like here)
