Re: Thunderstorms North Island 30 March
Constant rumbling from cells to NE and SE here, but they dont seem to be dropping any rain other than very localised. See Hamilton aero has reached 24.3C under clear skies which will help if storms drift that way.

I just heard distant thunder. Storm to my east.
Lucky me.
It weakened. A strong one to my west though

Re: Thunderstorms North Island 30 March
Just had a clap of thunder now. Exciting. My thunderstorm drought or "draught" as I used to call came to a end
Some more thunder. Hunua way.

Re: Thunderstorms North Island 30 March
Quite a few flashes and distant rumbles observed here in the last 10 minutes or so.
Must be from the small cell just to the north of Waiheke.

Re: Thunderstorms North Island 30 March
the storms didnt last long. ah well i had a heavy convective shower at 12:30 yesterday. and also heard a few rumbles of thunder from Cbs near my area. saw a little lightning show to my north east last night to finish the day. so im not really disappointed overall.
