tgsnoopy's Lightning Video Here...

Unread post by Gary Roberts »

http://www.observatory.org.nz/Pics/Lightning_RM.rm : RealMedia, 1.45 MB

http://www.observatory.org.nz/Pics/Lightning_WMV.wmv : Windows Media Video, 4.16 MB

http://www.observatory.org.nz/Pics/Lightning_DivX.avi : XviD/DivX, 6.93 MB

http://www.observatory.org.nz/Pics/Lightning.mpg : H.264, 7.88 MB

(Different file format/encoder versions of the same video)

I don't have RealPlayer installed so I don't know the quality of that file, but the WMV file crapped out on my system, so I re-encoded it with XviD/DivX and H.264. Hope that's okay tgsnoopy!

That's fine :) Thanks for that, I didn't think they were anything to write home about. Hopefully next time I'll have more luck.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow Aaron, I've charged the batteries & put the tripod in the car.

Lets hope for better luck this time cause pointing in the right direction at the time is pure luck. Also I'm not planning on being stuck on the phone whilst the best of it passes over either (like last time - Darn it).
