Went for a walk around the village this afternoon and took this of the latest storm cell near Ashburton:

had 13 mm overall. some briefly heavy rain overnight. and had a intense squall at 3:50 pm today. was wishing for some thunder but nope. no thunder.

Good out to sea electrical storm right now, flashes visible to the east on radar here from Halswell. It's not troubling anyone on land tho

You could see some distant flashes from here.

yes some intense squalls. im surprise damage has not been reported.
