An animation of the full disk infra red images from the GK-2A geostationary weather satellite covering 46 days between 1st August and the 12th September 2020.
There are multiple typhoons visible during the video, many of which are tracking to around the Korean peninsula.
There are a few glitches from skipped frames or where only a partial frame was used.
The images were downloaded directly from the GK-2A satellite using a WiFi grid antenna, Nooelec GOES SAWbird, RTL-SDR v3 and a Raspberry Pi, with the coloured underlay added using Sanchez and the animation created using ffmpeg.
