Alexandra's previous lowest Sep Tmax of 5.0C did fall on Tuesday, with MS and NIWA recording highs of 4.6C (airport) and 4.8C respectively that afternoon.
Dunedin Aero's previous lowest Sep Tmax of 5.7C also fell on Tuesday, despite its high of 4.7C that afternoon climbing to 5.2C before 9am the following morning.
And Gore's previous lowest Sep Tmax of 2.2C would have fallen on Tuesday had MS and NIWA's highs that afternoon of 1.9C and 2.3C respectively not climbed to 2.8C and 3.1 before 9am the following morning.
