^Download and install Brave Browser, John which blocks ads by default:
https://brave.com/

Really no need for the state-funded forecaster to bombard it's users with ads.

I'm still using Firefox with Ad Blocker Pro, works also. For the moment I'm limited due to compatibility with software I work with, but getting tired of toggling between chrome & firefox. Will test Brave when I get a chance.

When I scroll down the page this banner comes down with it, partially obscuring what I'm looking at. Tried it with different browsers and without adblockers etc

I heard on the news they said Metservice had dealt with it before it affected their services. :-k

Well, this morning I cannot load the website...

David Seymour tried to bring this cyber hacking up in parliament yesterday and it got shut down by Trevor Mallard.
Seems as though it needs to be taken more seriously than brushing it off like they are.

Seems to working OK today.
I still wish they would stop using the term Short Forecast instead of saying Weather Forecast.
Bad grammar or the use of the English language. [-X

Today's "Short but is usually Vague" weather forecast doesn't say with a possibility of strong winds for the Canterbury Plains.
Just fine and a few spots of rain for tomorrow?
It has been windy here since 2pm. where is the mention it could be windy, with the possibility of gales as mentioned in their warnings?.
Does that make the forecast too long?
Is commercialism in weather forecasting industry probably the problem, with the shortest and accurate forecast 0_o

They still use the wording Short forecast.
It's a Brief Weather forecast, not a short forecast.
Brief would be a better use of the word.
"Here is a brief weather forecast for those who do not want an extended version of the forecast, which you can see on other pages on our Website"

You are right in a way, 'short' is opposite of tall :-k but then short can also be the opposite of long.. so..?

The use of short in short range forecast sounds better than brief range

They could say "Here is the 'Underpant' forecast as brief and short do also mean the terms of men's underwear?
The message I'm trying to get through, is why don't they say "Here is the current Weather Forecast for New Zealand/Aetroroa, issued by MetService"
