Re: General November Weather
Looks like a classic case of weakens once it gets over land, starts to fire up again once it gets to the gulf. Have had distant thunder to the west and east today but nothing overhead

Re: General November Weather
Good storm going through Tauranga now. Drove through another good one this morning going to Rotorua. It's very low based, largely embeded CC, occasional CG Noisy stuff.

Re: General November Weather
We'll do our best.
Still cold and claggy down here with the odd spit and SE winds.
Probably better chance for tomorrow as MS have no thunder warning for down here tomorrow

Re: General November Weather
Looks like it on the radar, Richard, that where today's thunderstorms may be for the Canterbury area.
The blitz recorded a couple of ground strikes up your way.
Raining here now, quite steady.

Re: General November Weather
Fine for a start off today but it clouded up in the morning with a light southerly blowing. Cloud layers becoming general from then on with clagg and light rain settling in.Southerlies becoming fresh this afternoon.
Rain from 5pm with 8.1mm falling for today. Today's maximum was just 15.9C reached this morning. Not very interesting weather for today.
Tried to keep it away from the cricket.
Darn it. I've just seen a low risk for thunderstorms for Canterbury for tomorrow afternoon. That's tomorrow's chances ruined

Re: General November Weather
A servicing guy came up on Wednesday to work on the station and you can see when he did the work. It cut off at the 22nd at 53mm and then 27.6mm till the 29th, and then there was a shower late 30th, sorted

Re: General November Weather
As well as being an exceptionally wet November for most places, especially around the North Island, November 2022 also looks likely to be NZ's warmest November on record (for the second consecutive year).

And despite a cooler start to December, 2022 could well end up being NZ's warmest year on record (for the second consecutive year), due in part to its warmest winter on record (for the third consecutive year) and 2nd-equal warmest autumn on record.

Re: General November Weather
NIWA have confirmed today that November 2022 was indeed NZ’s warmest November on record (topping last year by about 0.1C).
