Couple of pics from my early morning walk, looking out over Wellington Harbour (taken from above Seatoun). Amazing how the sky kept changing to be even more striking.

First photo was 648am (3 second exposure on iPhone 13). Last was 730am.

Some cirrus cumulus forms taken from the lookout point, today, on State Highway 79 near Fairlie looking north instead of looking the other way across Beautiful Valley.

The weather on Great Barrier Island cleared up wonderfully today, an unexpectedly sunny day after 2 days of rain and gloom. Here are some pictures I took today!

Lovely inversion layer over Lyall Bay in Wellington on Tuesday the 31st Oct. Was one of those very rare almost dead-calm Wellington evenings! Photo taken looking West over the airport towards Lyall Bay at about 720pm.

Not sure to be honest. Up close it just looked a bit muddy/silty, but from above it kinda has a milky green look.

Back in June it was extremely muddy/silty: viewtopic.php?p=211438#p211438

Probably to do with the recent, well earlier rain in the year for Auckland?

Stunning sunset from Wellington this evening.
IMG_8958.jpeg
And I love this time of year as I can get silhouettes of my MetalBirds I have placed in the large (annoying*) sycamore tree in the reserve outside my property.

*annoying as the are prolific self seeding trees, and we have to remove hundreds of seedlings from our property and surrounds! And they grow VERY fast!
