Yeah.. but too bad it's on the wrong side!

Good early signs though at the moment however for cyclonic development in the Pacific Islands

Here are some great sites I use
this one is world wide http://www.hewsweb.org/home_page/default.asp
and also talks about seismic tsunami weather as well as cyclones.
This one is over the Pacific ocean http://www.afap.org/apcedi/
And covers all Tropical cyclones so this one is more close to home.
Cheers
Jason.

Doesnt it work the other way around, when its warmer than normal its cloudier, and when its cooler than normal its clearer?

There has been a lot of land based convection going off as per normal, for the top end mainly. Not much convection coming off New Guinea/Coral Sea.. which has slowly led to a warmer than normal Coral sea.

This very good link was posted over on the WeatherZone board - http://tsr.mssl.ucl.ac.uk/tracker/dynamic/main.html

It will be interesting to see how it goes this cyclone season.

Cheers,
