Daylight Saving Time (NZDT) starts this weekend moving the clocks an hour forward this Sunday morning so we can see an extra hour of daylight of watching the rain falling.
It probably be better moving it forward the whole "block" to Labour Weekend and finishing later at Easter when we can enjoy "better" weather
Daylight Saving 4-5 October

Yes, I have always thought that starting daylight time was silly on the first WE of OCT.
It is better to start it later and have it finish later than that silly time in the middle of March when it is still reasonably summery.
Labour WE to Easter would be a jolly good idea, easy to remember.
Anyway, battern down the hatches you North Island people.
