US has had a warm winter for Jan, but lately some real cold snaps in the northern states

europe, particular germany has had a colder than normal winter with fozen ground after alot of frosts and roofs of houses collapsed from snow....

Tropical cyclone Carina is born in the Indian ocean category 1 currently rising to category 2 fast in next 24hrs unfortunatly its so farr out in the ocean it wont affect land but still interesting to watch.

there is a new area of CB's north of new caledonia that might be worth watching :)
now that we have 2 TC's in the indian ocean, conditions might be coming right to get one in the pacific too ;) (with the next madien julian ocsilation due this week coming up)

Personally myself, I don't want them :evil:
Just brings boring anticyclonic weather down here :cry: :(

Not really a concern at the moment John as we have not had a X Tropical cyclone here for years and we have had just one sub tropical Low in the past two years.

I don't know what you mean here ? but it's just that when a tropical cyclone comes down from the tropics it happens to be anticyclonic here.
