Great shot. I've read on the online Hawkes Bay paper, that the snow was down to the lower levels on Thursday and/or Friday, with schools closed in places like Norsewood. Here's a photo of the Tararuas today. Taken just south of Norsewood this morning. I guess a lot of the snow had gone by then....
Since there's been snow on Mt Aroha, then there were quite probably more dustings of snow on Mt Tarawera, Tauhara etc, but I haven't heard any reports.

Just a touch left on Tarawera, didn't notice any on Tauhara.
Did get some photo's hope to get round to posting them later tonight.
Got a little sleety wet snow, but not enough to satisfy me on the southern side of the desert road.
The cops were having a field day with all the idiots driving 110+km/h through the cloud.
