talking about the cold weather here.its extremly icy out there at the moment.i got told its only 2C right now. its like freezing fog.brrrrr

It won't snow today freezing level is low but at 200m you will only see snow to that low increasing this evening especially in north Canterbury.
Heavy drizzle off and on here with 3C so it is cold.
Id say some light periods of rain developing tonight with SE winds becoming strong perhaps. 8)

i when snowborading at mt hutt today it was awesome!
great snow sun shine all day perfect! you could see the rain all chch
the high push just far enofht north to a clear day.
very big fog on the way back (pea soup)

Very severe frost in Dunedin, again ice on the harbour and I suspect another vehichle doing the swimming thing given the number of vehicles backed up and the presence of the emergency services.
Berkshire North of Te Anau west of Hokitika.
