Don't know if anyone else watched this, but I saw a National Geographic Channel doco on Kakadu National Park near Darwin on Monday night. In it, they showed some spectacular time-lapse videos of evening thunderstorms early in the monsoon season. Puts most NZ thunderstorms to shame.

Puts most NZ thunderstorms to shame
any USA midwest thunderstorm puts most NZ thunderstorms to shame
we just dont have enough landmass, to heat up, thats one of the problems
