Thinking the same here Tich re-the frost, can feel a chill in the air.

Metservice have us down to 4°C, and Blueskies 1°C, that sounds alot better than the 4°C!!

I didn't hear it, but the rain has returned to Chch and the wind has freshened again, when I thought it had finally cleared. Down to 5C - maybe this'll bring the forecast snow to 600m on Banks Peninsula.

Brief heavy showers lateish afternoon, now much colder though sky fairly clear at present. Suspect more is on the way. Shots taken at about 3.15 pm.
Couldn't see clearly for second one, o'wise there would have been more sky and less of the houses in the foreground.

Just had a heavy hail shower go through with up to 2.4mm in 4 minutes 8) .
Also A silent rumble about 5 minutes after it had past.
Maybe this is the last cold front taking it's flick on us still not a bad way to end the day.
cheers
Jason.

I certainly heard the hail as it woke me up at 11.30pm

Went out o day up arthurs Pass way, visited friends in just out of springfield said they had snow falling there about 1-2pm on monday. No great amounts or anything, Still a wee bit lying about at porters pass by the road.

Took this photo (with the 4mp) looking up the waimak, by the Mt White bridge. What a nice way to show the tourist how 'Clean and Green" we are!!
