Horrible November in the Horowhenua

Unread post by spike_01 »

May as well be the Horriblenua... :?

147mm of Rain, twice the average for November...

8 Days with Wind Gusts over 60kph... Average is 3 days...

Sunshine was only 83% of average... :(

The average high temperature was 16.9 degrees, 1.4 degrees below normal... :x

Now I know why November seemed to last forever... 8)

Are you sure it was even 83% of the average sun (at Paraparaumu perhaps?). At Palm. Nth it was the lowest November sunshine on record.

All the above is according to the local newspaper...

And just to keep it going we have a heavy rain warning today for the Tararuas... Mostly it will stay up there but it will rain here... 8)

Whatever November's weather records, the monthly NIWA summary is still to be posted online, even though they've already goiven some info to the media.
