A hail shower went through about 3.15pm, hail briefly the size of frozen peas (not as tasty though :D ), and blow me down, there was a distinct clap of thunder as well. Only one though (that I heard). :)

Finally getting round to post.

Oh well, this day was just too cloudy, no heating anywhere which was unfortunate. Steve and me saw some nice bases and clouds etc and got into some moderately heavy rain in Oxford.

On the way back to Chch we stopped near the airport and saw this base.
