As i haven't made too many topics i thought i would on this and get in early on it,
Seems too be another very cold blast heading this way later on next week, Canterbury seems too be right in the line of this next snap with the possibilty too see some very low level snow, interesting too see what will happen with this one, as once again it is quite far out but we'll see
Sorry to disappoint you, I don't think so , sadly
We just get ,sadly, boring weather - all the time

Current models arent showing much, I take it you took that from the blueskies forcast from yesterday??
Models last night were suggesting quite low level snow on both Friday and Saturday but now that doesnt look the case as it has changed completly.
Now for the onslaught of boring weather unless this weather bomb low delivers something interesting.
Cheers
Jason.

Yep Canterbury should be sunny and fine with 10 temps of 10-12 degrees from wednesday to sunday 17th.
The met service though is still predicting snow in Southland though.

Yep all the forcasters seem to be in agreement for canterbury, in fact its looking like fine weather for the next 10 days.
That cumbersome blocking High in the Australian Bight is slowly moving our way and will take a week or so to get here.
However, another ECL may form also off the East Coast of NSW

Good to see the Hawkes Bay area getting some needed rain, not as agressive as what the low delivered in NSW.
I hope that some of the cow cockys are not to dissapointed in selling their stock?

Yes, steady rain with warm spells, and more of the same again would really help them

What's YOUR problem?!!! That doesn't sound like the storm-chasing dynamo I know as Aaron Wilkinson!!! Where's your thirst for EXTREME weather, boy! Haven't you been reading my signature?!!!
Ok, now I am thoroughly confused, but shouldn't be suprised...the models have flopped BACK and now very little rain, if any, is due here in Canty this week....who knows.....

Yep, only light patchy drizzle for thursday, friday, clearly saturday.
No snow for the south Island this week.
Even next week is suppose to only bring light falls to the ski fields.
We certainly need the rain it's been awhile since we have had a good burst of rain.
Funny you say that Gopolks as I just looked at the GFS model and it's looking interesting for end of next week with possibly a cold outbreak by the weekend. Although it is an Australian model, I wasnt going to say anything and see how it panned out, so forget I said anything .
In rememberance today of the June 12th 2006 snowstorm a year today .
Cheers

What a day it was, a day off work, making snowmen, and watching my little dog go nuts!
