Weather Data Feeds

Unread post by GBpeter »

Hi

I am a newbie from Golden Bay - I recently set up a website using a VP2/Weather Display Live - see http://www.kahurangi.org

Can I please have some advice on the best site to link up to with data feeds eg CWOP, Wunderground or another? These both seem very USA-centric.

I would also like advice on the best source of a radar map to link to (Wellington Airport?)

Thanks
Peter

Hi Peter, welcome to the forum! :)

These are the two I upload to... you just got to ensure the data that gets sent off to CWOP is accurate; the MADIS system will ignore bad data which will stop it being ingested by the NCEP models. ( See here: http://www.wxqa.com/ )

Also don't forget to enable scraping of your clientraw.txt file by the MML server, see: http://www.weather-watch.com/smf/index. ... 893.0.html

I'm having a bit of a problem logging onto your site, want me to put in a password!

Best of luck! :D
