Yeah...except we've got a horrible boring week or two coming up by the looks of it.

Re: Labour weekend weather
Yes a dry spell on the way with strong NW days, although could be a few SW changes just need that NE beforehand.
Looks like Tuesday or Wednesday we could get some of that heat experienced in Australia today, the strong NWer's should boot it across the Tasman so perhaps some temperatures into the mid 20's.
Cheers
Jason.

Re: Labour weekend weather
If that high wont move the lows under it at least would hopefully make it more westerly than SW.

Re: Labour weekend weather
Been a strange night wind wise in east Auckland, the wind was almost gone for half an hour, then it came gusty back for half an hour, died away again for a while, etc. G. Beach station in the west has gusts to 68km/h now already and its only a light breeze here, so I'll be expecting the westerly to return strong in the next half hour.

Re: Labour weekend weather
Had a period of rain around dawn out near Akaroa, but it soon cleared up after about 8am. Strong south/southwest winds for a while this morning.

Re: Labour weekend weather
Going out of Hamilton yesterday there were a few downed power lines due to the high winds.. sure has been windy in Rotorua too, sounded like a gale early this morning while waking up.
Nice day though back in H'ton, mostly sunny, warm but windy.
