Re: Auckland Sunshine Averages
Don't forget that the end-periods of several of those are very suspect - Albert Park from about 1946, Whenuapai (1998-2004), Auckland City (1986-1990), Auckland Aero (1989-1994). In each case, the reason is increasing site obstructions causing a reduction in the possible measurable amounts.

Re: Auckland Sunshine Averages
The 62.2 hrs was recorded at Whenuapai during it's "oops, there's a tree in the way" period and should not be accepted. There was a total of 72 hrs at the City site in June 1979 and also at Mangere in June 1969.

Michael - I have on many occasions made it very clear not to use my threads as excuses to make more irrelevant & exaggerated claims, you are trolling and baiting me like you have done before on numerous occasions, do you get a good kick when it comes to stirring me up? When are you going to quit being so antagonising?Michael wrote:Funny that...an example this morning,As soon as dawn arrives it goes from totally clear the entire night to 8/8 at sunrise. It does it especially in Winter.

Re: Auckland Sunshine Averages
Rwood - after reading Michaels totally idiotic and irrelevant post, I feel very disinclined to carry on this interesting debate with you for now as Michael has pretty much killed my enthusiasm for some good discussions with you, next time ok?
