Out of every day to be told not to come in if you completed the work.. I should cry now since I missed watching a snow shower.

Snow settled in Dunedins higher suburbs this morning.
Lots of cars were covered but no depth.

A massive change in this model now for ChCh for the next week- looks pretty uneventful really down here.

Re: The Next Dose of Winter to Hit Us!
We too had some fairly good snow showers today, but very short lived. I am concerned tho' cause the sky has now completely cleared (except for down Chch way - still looks grotty), and it is likely to be a super frost - and I have to umpire netball at 9.30 in the morning. Brrrrr!!!
BTW had another 35mm rain, so that makes 68mm for the event - and yes, it is very soggy here.

Re: The Next Dose of Winter to Hit Us!
Didnt see any icy showers this morning here but had some heavy sleet showers wafting on through last night at times.
I dont think there will be a frost tonight the flow is still too established and will return again by tomorrow afternoon, maybe a very brief light frost inland.
I sure hope those models pull thier A into G for next week otherwise its much more the same of this pointless showery weather we have had today for much of the week.
Perhaps something more significant for example heavy rain or gale winds.
Cheers
Jason.

Re: The Next Dose of Winter to Hit Us!
A good dusting of snow settled (again- how may times now this winter?) down to 100m on the Port Hills this morning, I can only presume there were flurries in parts of the city also

Re: The Next Dose of Winter to Hit Us!
Did anyone photograph the Southern Alps this morning from Christchurch?
I went to Darfield late this morning and the mountains looked absolutely stunning and fantastic.
Sadly I didn't have my camera with me.
On the way back, there seems to be a bit of snow around BP.
