Nice to have had a dry week here however I can now see shower clouds over Aucklands west.
Thick fog here early, 13C dewpoints , current temp 17C.

Looks like low preasure will be lurking for much of next week.

Looking at the rain radar this morning the front was well organsied during the night and is just comming over Hamilton now.. getting some shooting Cu going up over the west and moving towards Hamilton. I shall keep an eye out. Very warm and no wind at the moment... sounds like when the change comes through it could drop the temp quite a bit.

Yes quite an unexpected deluge this morning. I was in Remuera and looked like a localised cb on the front opened up on us.

Yes what are talking about should not really be in here and in a topic of its own.
I see that MS updated their thunderstorm outlook today to include a larger area. I was waiting for them to do that thismorning when i could see the towering Cu out west.
We got some heavy showers from them today (Hamilton). At one stage the rain was made of HUGE drops. They were banging on the car windscreen and i thought it would turn to hail but it didnt. Just stayed heavy big drops. It was all very isolated today.

Yes. Well, as the intense anticyclone that was the topic title for this thread has moved away and weakoned a bit and the other following in behind is not so intense but a strong one, I will now close the subject
